Bingo Numbers

Online Bingo

Online bingo is one of the most popular congregational web games. It has gained widespread popularity among virtual gamers is the U.S. and U.K. especially among the women folk.  Online gaming portals offer various schemes, tricks and benefits that make the game more interesting, all in the comfort of your home.

Game play

The objective of the game is to daub off numbers on the playing cards provided in a required pattern or to achieve a “full house” which means all numbers on the card are daubed off. The game can be played without staking any cash or for a gamble, according to the player’s wish. The numbers are called out using a random number generator.

Game types

There are basically two types of Bingo games viz. 75 ball bingo and 90 ball bingo. The 75 ball bingo is popular in the United States while the 90 ball bingo, also known as “housie” is played across the United Kingdom, Australia and other European countries. The difference lies in the size of the card, the arrangement of numbers and consequently, the patterns required to be daubed off.

75 Ball Bingo
This version is most popular in the United States. The card is of grid size 5 rows x 5 columns. Each column is named B, I, N, G, O in correspondence with the name of the game. The central square is usually left vacant. The required pattern of daubing off numbers can be varied in many different ways. The patterns may range from single straight lines to more complex patterns.
The B column generally contains any number from 1-15, the I column from 16-30, the N column from 31-45, the G column from 46-50 and finally the O column from 61-75.

90 Ball Bingo
90 Ball Bingo is very popular in U.K., Australia and pretty much every other region apart from the United States. The card is of grid size 3 rows x 9 columns. Each row has 5 numbers; therefore there are overall 15 numbers to daub of to achieve a full house. There is a fixed pattern of arranging numbers in a 90 Ball Bingo card. The first column has numbers from 1-9, the second from 11-20, the third from 21-30 and so on up to the ninth column which has numbers from 81-90.

There are three different game patterns according to the pattern one has to daub off. Single line games require players to daub off an entire horizontal row. Double line games require two horizontal lines to be daubed off and the full house game is a race to daub off the entire card.

Number Calling

Online Bingo games randomly shuffle out cards to players. In a standard online room you can take up to 5 different cards. The numbers are called out by an electronically generated caller or simply displayed on a board. The selection of numbers is through a random number generator. These numbers are often called using nicknames e.g. sweet 16 (16); my sweet valentine (14). The game continues till a player calls out “Bingo!” after which the win is validated and prizes are distributed.
