Whether 90 ball or 75 ball, Bingo still proves to be one of the most loved game in history of mankind. With extremely simple rules and easy game play, it is not hard to believe that almost everyone on the planet has either enjoyed the game or at least is familiar with it. The game is played so often that players constantly introduced different variations to the game, making it even more interesting. Two of the most common versions of the game are 75 ball and 90 ball. The two of them have slightly different rules and have totally different audiences.
90 Ball Bingo
This variation of Bingo is mostly famous in United Kingdom and most parts of Europe and Australia.
Ticket
The 90 ball Bingo ticket consists of 9 columns and 3 rows. All the 27 squares are not filled with numbers. Instead, the card only consists of 15 numbers and the remaining squares are blank. Each row has 5 numbers placed in different positions. The first column can have either numbers from 1 to 10. Similarly, the second column can have 1 to 3 numbers from 11 to 20 and the last or 9th column can consist of numbers between 81 and 90.
Prizes
90 ball Bingo has a whole range of prizes for the players. Players are awarded for lines and full house. If a participant manages to mark all the numbers on any one horizontal line or any two lines, he or she is declared as a winner for lines. One who has marked all the numbers present on the ticket is declared as the Full House winner. The full house winner receives the biggest prize, while the prize money is lesser for the two line winner and least for the one line winner. Many variations are played at different places when it comes to awarding prizes. For example, the person who manages to mark out any 5 numbers present on any row of the same ticket is also declared as one of the winners.
75 Ball Bingo
Having its roots in the United States and in Canada, the 75 ball Bingo never seemed to get out of its niche when it comes to popularity.
Bingo Card
The 75 ball Bingo card is quite different compared to its cousin. It consists of 5 rows and 5 columns, giving a product of 25 squares. All the squares, except the middle one has a number in it. The middle square can be used for any number. Each of the 5 columns is marked with a letter starting from B, then I and so on until O. Numbers 1 to 15 are placed under B, 16 to 30 under I and so on until 61 to 75, which are placed under O.
Prizes
The player who completes any one horizontal, vertical or diagonal line is declared as the winner. Some people prefer to apply their own Bingo patterns. In 75 ball Bingo, it is important for the player to yell out ‘BINGO’ once he/she completes a line in order to be eligible for the prize.
