Fast Five Bingo Rules

Fast five in a row bingo is exactly what the titles appears to be. It’s a game of bingo where the goal is to get five numbers in a row the fastest.

First person to get 5 in a row wins the game. It’s the most basic of all game types of bingo and the most recognized pattern. Many scratch off lottery tickets employ this pattern (as well as others).

A person doesn’t have to get 5 in a row horizontally only. Usually, if the numbers form a column of 5 or form a line diagonally, then that’s considered a winning ticket as usual.

When a person wins they shout “Bingo” and the caller (or person in charge of verifying cards) determines if the win is legit. If it is, the game ends and a new one begins. If it’s not then the game resumes on the last number called.

Generally, in 5 in a row bingo there is always a winner. And the game is played until a winner is found. Certain game types don’t require winners (Blackout, which is a jackpot game).

Although it’s the most recognized pattern it’s not the only one that’s played. The caller, at the start of the game, determines the pattern and it won’t always be a row or line. Sometimes, when a pattern is created, a new pattern is announced for the same cards. For instance there could be a five in a row bingo winner and then the pattern might become blackout.

This can be predetermined but is up to the caller of the game. They might work off where your line or pattern is (in the center, top, left, etc)

Overall there are hundreds of types of bingo patterns to choose from. Fast five in a row deals strictly with getting 5 numbers in a horizontal line, vertical line, or diagonally. It’s the easiest pattern to learn and usually most people know are aware of it before they step into the bingo hall.

This is of course if you’ve heard of bingo in the first place. And what person can honestly say they’ve never heard of bingo?
