In order to have a vertical bingo pattern, the player is required to have the called out numbers in a vertical line from top to bottom on the bingo card. Just as in the case of horizontal Bingo, a vertical bingo pattern with just four numbers can be obtained down the middle line of the card to secure an easy win. Although vertical bingo has more or less the same chance of winning as compared to horizontal bingo, some expert bingo players have claimed that recognizing a vertical pattern is much easier than recognizing a horizontal pattern. It is has been found that most players fail to recognize horizontal patterns. Although no reason is known for this, most bingo players stick to vertical bingo patterns.
