A very merry game!
Bingo has been an extremely popular game at all times and all seasons. Being a favorite among community games, what better season to have a bingo fest than the season to come together – Christmas! When it is yuletide season, everybody is in the mood to be jolly, not excepting bingo enthusiasts all across the globe.
It is a warm scene to see bingo halls, dressed in red and green, fireplace on, hot chocolate doing its rounds, filled with the roar of bingo players filling the room every time a number is called. The spirit keeps one warmer than the fire!
Setting the perfect mood
Christmas is that time of the year the whole world supports the yuletide cheer. Every man and every organization is busy getting into the mood of Santa, carols and nativity. Why must bingo be an exception?
Christmas Bingo is a very special version of the game introduced to mark the season’s festivities. In Christmas bingo, the numbers on the playing cards are replaced with symbols of Christmas. Images of Santa, his reindeers, cookies and candy canes, nativity characters and bright stars… anything and everything to do with Christmas!
Christmas bingo games are available at stores packaged in boxes. Online bingo halls also host this version just for that special time of the year.
Do it yourself
Christmas Bingo is very easy to organize and it is the perfect after dinner family party and a very interesting way to introduce to your family their Christmas presents!
There are websites that help you make your own Christmas bingo cards. The nicest part of the concept is that you get to choose your card sizes, the daub patterns and the images. The first step to creating your card template is to choose a grid size. You could specify your own or go in for the standard 75 ball bingo card with a 5 X 5 grid or a 90 ball bingo card with a 3 X 9 grid.
Once you’ve specified your card size all you need to do is select a theme and images. The website will randomly generate placements for each symbol on each card. Once the set is ready you can print them out, ready for the party!
You can also use greeting card stocks to make your own bingo cards.
Spreading the Yuletide message
Christmas Bing is an excellent way to help spread the message of Christmas and its cheer among the little ones. Certain Bingo cards are available with line drawn images just like those in coloring books for kids. So, instead of daubing out the images, kids can spend a little more time coloring them in. They can also retain these cards as a souvenir or they could be strung together and displayed among the paper festoons!
These Bingo cards can also be arranged such that they tell a story. A fun way to keep the tiny tots entertained indoors. The story teller can be the one calling out each scene. A perfect method to tell them about the nativity and the joy of Christmas indeed!
